  • Not at the present time.  I am an Out of Network Provider.  Your FSA or HSA may pay for your sessions or if you have a PPO, you may be eligible for reimbursement.

I will provide you with the receipts you need to apply for reimbursement for either one at the end of each session after payment is made.

  • Yes! Telehealth psychotherapy is very popular and here to stay.  Multiple research studies have confirmed virtual sessions are as effective as in person for most people. Many feel virtual sessions are more convenient since there are no transportation fees and sessions are not affected by weather or distance. Some like having their pets with them when discussing painful material. If I feel virtual psychotherapy is not a good option for you I will recommend you be seen by an in-person provider.

  • After you and I agree on a time to meet, you will receive an encrypted link to Simple Practice to join their secure HIPAA-compliant platform. Only you and I will have this link for our time slot, unless you are part of a family or couples session.  If this is the case, each member will receive the link.  You will click on the link and join the session.  If there is any technical issue you will have my phone number and can contact me.  At the end of our session we will book our next session.

  • It depends on what you need and want. Most people meet weekly. Then, as goals are met, we can reduce our frequency. I have clients who come once a month or as needed.  I can provide you a Good Faith Estimate in our first session for how long I estimate treatment will take and your expected costs.  Evening and weekend times are available.

  • I offer my clients a full 60 minute session.  The standard psychotherapy session is only 45 minutes.  I do not charge for the extra 15 minutes.

If your needs dictate, we can meet more than once a week or for a 90 minute or double session.

  • Use your Credit, Debit, or HSA/FSA card. My secure platform offers automatic billing at the end of your session.  Receipts for HSA/FSA are automatically generated following payment.  I will also send you a receipt for submission to your insurance at the end of our session, or a super-bill if you request it.

  • You will probably never need to call me in an emergency but if you do, I will do my best to answer or I will get back to you ASAP. An emergency is defined as an overwhelming event that has occurred and you feel you must speak to me for support. My clients’ welfare is very important to me. I will always return your call as soon as I can.  There is no change for an infrequent call under 15 minutes.  Calls lasting over 15 minutes will be charged at the regular hourly rate of $200 per hour.  However, this is a solo practice. I am not a good choice for clients who have frequent emergencies.  If I feel I am not able to provide you with what you need I will refer you to a practice better able to serve you.

  • The time we agree on is your time but mine as well. As with any new skill regular participation is needed for change to occur. Texting or calling me 24 hours in advance is necessary to change or cancel an appointment to avoid being charged the full fee of $200.
